There are 30 classes in 15 weeks. Two classes will be used for midterm exams. We plan to go through the first 5 chapters of Harkin and Van Veen, where Chapters 1-3 are fundamentals and 4-5 can be viewed as applications.

1. Signals and Systems (4 lectures)

2. Linear Time-Invariant Systems (6 lectures)

3. Fourier Series Representation of Periodic Signals (4 lectures)

4. The Continuous-Time Fourier Transform (4 lectures)

5. Applications of Fourier transforms: Communications systems, differential equations (3 lectures)

6. Sampling and The Discrete-Time Fourier Transform, Discrete Fourier transform (4 lectures)

7. Time- and Frequency Characterization of Signals and Systems (2 lectures)
